Trainee Client Advisor – Leeds - Hybrid Working AvailableMarsh is recruiting for a Trainee to join a team of Client Advisors in Leeds.Working in our specialist Trade Credit Insurance team this is the perfect role for an individual with a background in Finance, Banking or Credit Insurance looking to join an established, market leading insurance broker.With a proven and structured training programme in place, this could also be a great platform for someone to kick start their insurance broking career, or for someone looking to transfer their insurance skills into an Account Handling/ Client Advisory role.Please note that the successful candidate will be working from our Leeds office 3 days per week, with the option to work from home 2 days a week.What can you expect?Join a diverse team of 9 collaborative and supportive insurance professionalsLearn how to service specialist trade credit risks within a diverse client baseBe led by approachable, friendly and professional leaders where your progression and career development goals will be encouragedCompany funded CII qualificationsWhat you will be rewarded with?Competitive salaries and an annual bonus based on performance/ targets setComprehensive benefits including a pension scheme that will be hard to beat!27 days holiday with the option to buy or sell up to 5 days per annumProgrammes including: health & welfare, tuition assistance, pension, employee assistance program, career mobility, employee network groups and volunteer opportunitiesGenerous Family Leave including:  6 months paid maternity leave, 4 months paid paternity leave, 6 months paid adoption leave plus shared parental leave options.  To help ease the transition when you return to work you will be able to work 8 weeks at 80% of your normal work pattern and receive 100% of your normal salaryWe will rely on you to:Advise Clients on Trade Credit RisksDevelop renewal/placement strategies in conjunction with the Practice Leader and Client Executive and execute in accordance with client instructionsAnalyse quotes from carriers and provides analysis to more senior Advisory colleagues and/or clients to assist with developing solutions and renewalsSupport more senior Advisory colleagues to reach business goals through research and document preparation to support and assist the design, development, and marketing of new insurance and risk productsSupport the client credit management function by training and advising on policy operation, and negotiating credit limits and other issues with underwritersBuild and maintain client and market contact at appropriate levels to execute effectively on clients programContribute to client retention through effective risk solutions and excellence in serviceWhat you need to have: A desire to develop a career within insurance brokingBe either a Graduate or hold a minimum of A Level qualifications along with work experience within insurance or finance/bankingIntermediate level knowledge of Microsoft applicationsA good numerical ability and attention to detailExcellent organisational and communication skills with the ability to manage multiple enquiries simultaneouslyWhat makes you stand out:(These skills/attributes are beneficial but are NOT essential)Insurance and finance experienceUnderstanding of the Credit InsuranceCertificate in InsuranceAbout usMarsh is the world’s leading insurance broker and risk adviser.
