To complement its existing Transaction Advisory Services offering, Duff & Phelps, a Kroll business, is continuing to grow its Transaction Structuring and Accounting practice. This team provides commercially focussed accounting advice across the entire deal continuum, from transaction origination through to post deal optimisation.  This team designs optimal transaction structures, provides complex accounting advice and helps groups navigate change.

We are now seeking a high calibre individual looking to build on their current technical knowledge and commercial experience to work on diverse and demanding transactions. This position will be based in our London office.

RESPONSIBILITIES:



  • Help identify efficient and effective solutions to technical accounting and transaction issues and deliver these solutions to our clients

  • Work on a collaborative basis across our practice to support with the creation of relevant and insightful thought leadership through publications, external seminars and industry groups

  • Build and maintain a network of key relationships amongst executive management at our key clients; consistently delivering excellent client service


REQUIREMENTS:



  • Bachelor’s in Accounting, Economics, Finance or related discipline preferred

  • CPA qualified (US CPA strongly preferred)

  • Minimum of 1-year post-qualification experience, gained in a top tier accounting firm and/or internationally recognised investment bank

  • Extensive US GAAP technical accounting experience

  • Key interest in M&A advisory; accounting and financial due diligence; purchase price allocations; bankruptcy proceedings; and M&A disputes

  • Strong interpersonal, communication, marketing, sales and organizational skills

  • High proficiency in the use Microsoft Office, with focus on Excel, PowerPoint and Word

  • VBA and Tableau knowledge beneficial
