Process/Machine Operator + FLT Contract

My client based in Kilmarnock is currently looking for Process/Machine Operators that hold an in date FLT license to work with them on a temporary basis which will initially be 3 month with potential to be extended. My client is a very well known auto parts manufacturer.

Pay rate: £11.50-£12.50 per hour dependent on experience, weekly pay!

Hours: As below (You must be flexible for all shifts however these are always given in advance)

Day Shift: Mon to Thu - 07:30 to 16:00, Fri - 07:30 to 13:00

Back Shift: Sun - 21:00 to 07:30, Mon - 16:00 to 21:15, Tue to Thu - 16:00 to 21: 45

Night Shift: Mon - 21:15 to 07:30, Tue to Thu (Inclusive) - 21:45 to 07:30

Weekend Day Shift: Fri - 12:45 to 22:15, Sat & Sun - 06:45 to 19:00

Weekend Night Shift: Fri - 22:00 to 07:00, Sat - 18:45 to 07:00

To set and operate A5 Rolling Mill to produce alloy for A6 bonding.

2.1. Locate and transport material by FLT to machine for process.

2.2. Set roll flattener, edge mill, linisher and brush.

2.3. Load foil which has been selected, check to make sure clean and oil free.

2.4. Operate mill checking sizes, shear off damaged or oversize, undersize material before recoil.

2.5. Clean down external extraction once a week.

2.6. Load and unload oven.

2.7. Empty sludge skip at the end of every shift.

2.8. Use computer for log in of material.

• Continuously uses/operates micrometers.
• Continuously uses/operates straight edge.
• Frequently adjusts/sets vernier callipers.
• Occasionally uses/operates thermal tem gauge.

• Jobholder makes decisions on minor edge cracks, blistering and material faults i.e. bad cladding etc.
• By visual and process experience

• Understanding routing list instructions - location of materials for process and machine instructions.
• Other - use of computer for logging in materials.

• All processes from start to finish of production i.e. measuring, setting mill.
