Job DescriptionAs Process Engineering Leader -Moulding, you will form part of the Business Team and be responsible for and report on the status of all moulding engineering activities.

Main responsibilities will include:

  • Reviews plans and designs to improve process productivity, efficiency and plant Facilities. Involvement in all new process equipment design activities, acceptance, will recommend and carryout modifications to equipment.
  • Actively participates in the implementation of Worldwide safety, environmental and maintenance compliance initiatives, Divisional initiatives e.g. six sigma, lean, validation and fully supports the WorldWide Manufacturing Strategy.
  • Prepares accurate project schedules and cost estimates for all projects associated with process improvements.
  • Ensures that any statutory legislation and/or quality system requirements are adhered to with regard to process changes and process initiation.
  • Responsible for equipment/plant performance and reporting the status.
  • Coordinates activities derived from equipment/plant measures to address performance issues.
  • Actively pursues cost reduction opportunities to meet annual plant budget requirements.
  • Responsible for the development of the engineers within the engineering team.
  • Responsible for planning, co-ordinating and maintaining department Repairs & Maintenance (R & M) budget.

About you

The successful candidate will have an engineering qualification and sophisticated experience in plastic injection moulding from a high-volume manufacturing environment. You will be an effective communicator who can encourage, empower and champion change in the pursuit of continuous improvement. You will have strong skills in problem solving and root cause analysis.

‘Hands-on’ experience in fault rectification, design of modifications, process innovation and project management.

Experience in the promotion and application of all relevant Planned Maintenance, Quality Control, Health, Safety and Environmental regulations and requirements.

Proven track record to accept and promote change.

Demonstrated ability to lead personnel and control budgets.
