Junior IT Technician

Job Title: Junior IT Technician Reporting To: IT Manager Responsible For:- Being the face of IT on the 1st line, the go-to point man for daily IT Support and the champion of best practise IT Service - Assisting with the setting up, maintenance and repair of computers, laptops, printers, audio-visual equipment and desktop related accessories - Installing and configuring software applications as per requirement - Assisting with the upkeep of the I.T. inventory and standards on site - Maintaining satisfactory standards of safety and security in relation to our equipment estate - Supporting the IT process, requirements and logistics for new starters, leavers and internal moves Standards of Performance:- All work should be consistently performed to an agreed scope, the set standards of their IT service and follow any documented process - An expected growth in experience and competencies within target-based appraisals, supported by on-site mentoring, technical training and active development - Reliability to drive the support of their help-desk, which maintains the day-to-day running of their IT estate Key Skills and Experience:- A basic understanding of: -- Computer hardware and peripherals -- Windows 10/11 operating systems and administration -- PC, Laptop and Mobile troubleshooting -- End User desktop configuration- A genuine interest in technology, desktop hardware and systems - Excellent communication skills that focus on customer service and delivery - An ability to gather data, solve problems and document resolutions - An ability to work within their own initiative for on-site support, and within the IT team to supporting wider on-going projects - A high degree of drive, energy and an unfailing positive attitude - Confidence, resilience and determination to succeed - A flexible approach to ideas, implementation and solutions Additional tasks NOTE: This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive.
