Through these offers/solutions, bp will make a material impact on global emissions for our customers and the planet.The role will act as a transformative leader in the energy transition, helping to define customer value propositions and translate trends into commercially viable opportunities. To be successful, the candidate must be an entrepreneurial, self-starter who can navigate a complex, emerging market to help build a path to decarbonisation.Reporting to VP Insights & Customer Value Proposition, this role will work within the global Corporate, Cities and Integrated Solutions team within Regions, Cities and Solutions (established in 2020 to help cities and corporates decarbonise).In this role you will:Conduct in-depth sectoral, market and customer assessments that illuminate decarbonization opportunities and lead the development of Customer Value PropositionsBring together bp’s capabilities, products, and services to develop a range of customer-centric B2B offers, that are underpinned by strong commercials (developed in collaboration with Finance) based on market understanding and customer insightCreate breakthrough insight and analytics, by collating, analysing, and synthesising an array of data sources (qualitative and quantitative)Engage with customers, partners, and target accounts to develop a deep understanding of accounts and sectoral needs based on “real life” customer feedback, to supplement market and sector analysisUtilise customer insights and market/sector analysis to segment customers, enabling bp to better serve their needs and develop differentiated value propositionsIdentify ways of bringing together bp’s capabilities and offers with those of its partners to create mutual valueBuild strategic frameworks, tools, and standardized methods and practices for use across RC&SEnsure outcomes & takeaways are recorded, shared, and used globally, to support the continuous improvement of this newly formed businessCollaborate with the wider bp org on competitor analysis, technology assessments and strategy developmentAbout you:At least 10 years of experience developing customer value propositions, product/offer development or associated areas of marketing or business development. It is advantageous to have b2b or energy sector experience.It is important that you have a deep understanding of energy transition/low carbon initiatives; a track-record translating insights and customer understanding into value propositions and customer offers that enhance impact; the ability to solve complex issues with executable solutions, and prioritise value creation across bp organization over within-entity value creation. As a senior manager you must demonstrate the following capabilities:Externally oriented, with experience developing and deploying customer offers across a range of geographies, legal frameworks and/or customer groupsLeading transformation – ability to lead in uncertainty while setting clear and challenging goals.
