Graduate Test Engineer / SDET

All our consultants have the opportunity to work on a range of different projects, providing a broad range of knowledge on which to develop their careers and progress in the direction they choose.*About the role:*We are looking for candidates who are interested in a career in technology to join us as Graduate Test Engineers / SDETs within our Quality Engineering practice. You will be responsible for defining and executing testing strategies, test plans and test automation frameworks, as well as testing features through automated and manual testing in order to deliver the highest quality solutions to our clients.After training, consultants will join one of our projects to help us deliver the latest generation of digital online services for one of our public or private sector clients. We have a number of exciting projects for clients in the travel industry, government and leading start-ups.Typically, you will work on a particular project for 6-12 months before moving on to a new challenge. You will be part of a larger team, working with and receiving on-the-job support from senior consultants. Candidates should be open to working in different locations for different clients, if on-site work is required. Although most of our work is in London, candidates should be happy to travel as client needs dictate.Please note we are unable to offer visa sponsorship and applicants must have valid right to work in the UK.*About you:*You should have a genuine interest in technology. You will be a critical thinker, enjoy tackling different problems in a structured way and are a highly motivated self-starter. You should have great interpersonal and communication skills and a strong desire to deliver the best possible solutions for our clients. You will ideally share our values and be aligned with our ways of working. As your career progresses, you can expect to work across all areas of the development lifecycle, from strategy to development to implementation, and to take on assignments in different sectors. This will provide you with a broad base of experience from which to build an outstanding career.*Responsibilities:** After training, you’ll be working as a test engineer on client projects, typically moving onto other client work after 6 months to a year* Working as part of Agile teams, collaborating on requirements, development and testing* Responsible for defining and executing testing strategies, and test plans and test automation frameworks* Responsible for testing features through manual and automated testing* Working with and learning from senior test consultants within the team* Working closely with clients to understand their needs* Helping us to grow our Quality Engineering practice*Required skills:** Enthusiastic, motivated, committed and capable degree educated individuals* Genuine interest in pursuing a career in software testing and technology* Problem solving and analytical skills* Intellectual curiosity* Willingness to continually learn* Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken word with an ability to successfully engage with team members and clients* Some understanding of the software development lifecycle, including Agile methodologies, is desirable but not essential.* Some familiarity with test automation tools (e.g. Selenium, Cypress) is desirable but not essential***Equality & Diversity:*Solirius Consulting is an equal opportunities employer.
