Site Name: UK - London - BrentfordPosted Date: Jul 29 2022 Director, Global Corporate Investigations This is the Senior Investigation position which will sit on the Corporate Security & Investigations Leadership Team within the Legal & Compliance function. The successful candidate will be a proven leader, capable of, inspiring, managing and developing a team of professional investigators, located across the GSK footprint. The Director will: Ensure effective performance and delivery of responsibilities Develop capability of staff, technical, leadership and behavioural Lead improvements in team performance Collaborate and align with other investigation senior stakeholders (Legal, Compliance, HR) and teams within the region and/or globally to understand and adopt best practises Build strategic relationship with a network of senior GSK local/regional stakeholders, to understand business requirements, minimise risk and optimise the value proposition Your responsibilities: Lead and direct an Investigations team across multiple countries within a region Develop and implement effective ways of working across the company to ensure a cohesive approach Develop the team and individual capabilities from both technical and behavioural aspects Ensure investigations are conducted in accordance with all relevant GSK policies, including but not limited to the SOP for the conduct of internal investigations, investigations best practice guidance and the fraud prevention and response procedure. Under the direction of the Head, Corporate Security & Investigations, develop and maintain detailed investigations strategy and methodology, including protocols on when to involve internal and external counsel. Work closely with the Investigations community to ensure investigations methodology is aligned and when required, with internal and external counsel when conducting legally privileged investigations. Drive innovation in investigations systems and methodologies to support continuous improvement in the E2E investigations process. Ensure timely response to issues requiring investigation and when complete ensure any lessons identified are shared broadly. Manage internal resource and external forensic, accounting, legal professionals, as necessary to support specific investigations globally. Advise and assist in developing analytical tools to assist with investigations. Ensure appropriate retention of documentation relating to investigations. Assist with the benchmarking of investigations processes on an ongoing basis. Support budget management and tracking. Why you? Demonstrated expertise in Investigation processes is required, particularly with respect to developing & implementing significant strategies, senior leader and stakeholder management and building strong relationships through well honed influencing and inter personal / communication skills Strong leadership skills and ability to develop and grow teams Use of Strategic Thinking to build relationships and create and implement plans Managing fast, efficient and transparent information flows Experience in performing investigations under the direction of Legal counsel. Demonstrated ability to challenge senior management. Working knowledge and understanding of international anti-bribery legislation including the UK Bribery Act, FCPA and OECD anti-bribery convention. Knowledge / understanding of investigative and interviewing processes and procedures Knowledge / understanding of financial and commercial healthcare laws and regulations. Knowledge / understanding of the requirements, approach and perspectives of regulatory and enforcement bodies. Knowledge of the external environment and latest trends in enforcement of anti-bribery laws. Ability to assess/analyse complex business information and develop appropriate conclusions and make recommendations. English as primary language; Other languages useful Preferred Qualifications: Ability to work in a complex and fast-moving environment with multiple priorities.
