Join us as a Customer Banking Manager

  • In this engaging role, you’ll proactively build long lasting relationships with our customers and help them achieve their financial aspirations
  • You’ll be conducting financial health checks to identify opportunities to help our customers with products or services which suit their needs

What you'll do 

You’ll be adding real value to the bank by developing relationships with customers to help them with complex matters such as mortgages, premier banking and protection products. We’ll look to you to collaborate internally and externally to keep a clear customer contact strategy in place, with a strong focus on acquiring, growing and retaining quality customer relationships. You’ll engage with the community through a number of channels, such as social groups, community activities and events to identify customer opportunities and needs.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Educating customers on being financially fit, living in the digital world and preventing fraud
  • Completing all customer journeys and processes compliantly
  • Using enhanced knowledge to meet a wider range of customer needs
  • Managing your diary with a focus on pre-booked appointments where we can add the most value to our customers
  • Developing strong working relationships and using local knowledge and connections to grow customer opportunities

The skills you'll need

We’re looking for someone with excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with customers. You’ll be able to deliver exceptional levels of service, and you’ll also need strong communication and negotiating skills.

We’ll also want to see:

  • An awareness of the potential opportunities in the local market and financial services industry
  • Good digital skills for maximum time efficiency and professionalism with customers
  • The ability to meet activity and performance goals in a customer service environment
