The Air SCIDA UK Engineering Manager is responsible for delivery of SCIDA engineering services across all Air SCIDA sites, ensuring the contract is delivered iaw contract requirements and all staff meet and exceed where possible KPIs, SLAs and other contractual obligations.
The post holder will be responsible for managing the site engineering delivery and is expected to visit all sites, as required, to ensure that consistent, professional, cost-effective, high quality standards are applied in the delivery of the contract.
The role is one of management to ensure that all site engineering services are provided to contracted sites at minimum cost, whilst assisting the MoD in maintaining their continuity of operational services throughout their AOR. Furthermore, the post holder is expected to provide guidance and advice to the site staff to ensure they comply with the requirements for submission of ECR for changes to all CIS installations on site, iaw JSP 604 Lft 4800.
The post holder will assist with the development of suitable policies, procedures and practices to ensure that standards are maintained across the contract delivery.
The UK Engineering Manager is directly responsible to the Head of Air SCIDA & DCMC Assurance for the following:To have a comprehensive understanding of the SCIDA services and the requirements of JSP 604 lft 4800 and other regulatory documents to ensure standards are being maintained.To have a strong understanding of the Air SCIDA contract to ensure that all KPIs and SLAs are met or exceeded for site engineering delivery.To develop suitable procedures, practices and policies to ensure quality assurance is applied throughout the Air SCIDA engineering services.To manage the site audit schedule to ensure they are undertaken iaw the frequencies detailed in the MOD JSP publications, and a corresponding audit report is produced iaw contractual timelines.Ensure designs and installations are scrutinised for non-compliances iaw MOD regulations.Ensure all site delivery engineering staff are trained to meet the needs of contract delivery.In consultation with Air SCIDA Senior Management Team, ensure all site engineers are visited on a bi-annual basis as a minimum.Promote and maintain strong working and business relationships with the Senior stakeholders at each site.Ensure all management information is updated and prepared for submission into the Air SCIDA Quarterly Progress report.
Secondary ResponsibilitiesEnsure all staff receive annual confidential reports and regular staff performance interviews.Promote professional and personal development amongst the staff, identifying any training shortfalls.Promote the development of new business, new products, clients and commercial work for the audit, assurance and other services.Assist with the production of tender documentation for any new business, new products or commercial work.In consultation with the client and Chf Engineer, address customer satisfaction survey results.
